Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of PracticeAhead. They are written to be read, not to be got past.

Version 1.1 · Effective 30 July 2026

What PracticeAhead is for

It is a rehearsal tool. You write what you want to say, hear it read back by a voice your browser provides, record yourself, and remove the cues until you can say it without them. It is not a tutor, an assessor, or a translator, and it does not evaluate your answer.

Your work stays yours

You keep every right in what you write and record. We do not claim ownership of it. It is stored in your browser, and we do not receive a copy of it.

Keeping your own backups

Because your work lives in this browser, it can be lost in ways we cannot prevent: browsers evict data when storage runs low, private windows discard it, and clearing site data deletes it. If something matters, export it. We cannot recover it for you.

Using it fairly

Record yourself, not other people, unless they have agreed. Do not use PracticeAhead to prepare anything unlawful, or to impersonate someone. Do not attempt to break, overload, or interfere with the service or the people using it.

Only enter material you own or have the right to use. Avoid unnecessary company secrets and other people’s personal data. You are responsible for the rights to anything you enter, export, or share.

What belongs to us and to others

The PracticeAhead name, logo, interface, and original materials belong to us. Materials provided by others remain subject to their respective rights and terms.

What this does not promise

Available voices, recording, storage, and pronunciation help can vary by device. Pronunciation guidance may be an estimate. Practising here does not guarantee an interview result, a fluency level, or any other outcome.

Availability and change

We may change or stop parts of PracticeAhead. If a change would remove something you rely on, or affect work already stored on your device, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export first, unless a security or legal issue makes that impossible.

Changes to these terms

The version and effective date are at the top. Material changes are published here with a raised version before they take effect.

Version 1.1 added a way to reach us with a question about these terms, and removed the section naming which country’s law applies. No obligation on either side changed.
